Jonathan Canlas - Professional Film Photographer

Jonathan lives in Lehi UT which is about 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City. Jonathon is a 100% film shooter specializing in weddings and families photography. He shoots more weddings out of state than in state. This year he has traveled to the following locations for weddings the French Riviera, Maya, Curacao, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Oakland, Newport Beach, Los Angeles, Mesa, Fort Collins, San Diego, and obviously UT.

He is very much a DIY kind of guy in the fact that he has his own Noritsu QSF-V30 developer and a Fuji Frontier SP2500 for scanning. He uses a local lab for printing. Jonathan is married to a wonderful gal named Callie. They have 4 kids. Isaac (5), Ila & Ruby (3) and Lulu (16 months). They are expecting number 5 as well very soon.

Film is Not Dead is a very cool workshop that is being heal at the North Shore of O'ahu in Laie at a private residence. Topics to include: Film - who / what / when / where / why / how, getting published, story-telling through details, loving family formals, iInstaproofs - how it will change your life, making every event publishable, hands-on flash demo, posing, the power of a blog, how to define your vision and more. It is limited to 12 attendees.

The workshop tuition also includes a 40 page workbook provided by Finao with an accompanying DVD which contains all the information covered in lectures and hands-on shoots. Film will be provided by FujiFilm as well. Gourmet breakfast and lunch will be provided all 4 days.
